If you suffer from joint pain, you know it can limit how well you function each day and affect your overall quality of health. The pain that's caused by arthritis, or injuries to ligaments or tendons, robs many people of their normal activities of daily living or participating in the activities they love.
Mercy offers a variety of community education classes, including Joint Adventure - an interactive class designed to help ease joint pain. The goal of Mercy's Joint Adventure is simple: to improve your quality of life.
Joint Adventure is a comprehensive program which includes exercise classes, social activities and education. Under your doctor's care, and working with specially-trained nurses, therapists and other caregivers, patients work through the pain to get back to their active, pain-free lifestyle.
Classes are held the third Friday of every month, from 11:00 a.m. to Noon, at Mercy General Hospital. Upcoming classes are scheduled for May 21, June 18 and July 16.
